Feminine hygiene is a basic need. In rural Nepal, it’s a luxury.

In many parts of Nepal, especially rural and mountain communities, girls and women have little access to affordable sanitary pads or other menstrual products. The result is missed school days, missed work, and a problem almost nobody talks about.

We understood the significance of this once we saw the effect of the devastating floods of August 26th, 2026. Thousands of people were impacted and needed resources of every kind, including feminine hygiene products. We realized how severely overlooked that need was, and that we could make a significant impact.

So Project HIMAL became our focus: raising as much as we possibly can to put feminine hygiene products into underserved communities in Nepal. We are continuing this push until January 2027, and this summit is a big part of it.

Suggested gifts at checkout: $25 · $50 · $100. Every dollar goes toward Project HIMAL: feminine hygiene products for rural Nepal.

04About BeyondNepal

Our story

BeyondNepal first began as BeyondSportsNepal: a nonprofit that aimed to provide sports equipment to underprivileged communities in Nepal. Through trials and tribulations, we realized there was a lot more we wanted to accomplish.

That led to BeyondNepal — to create a change much bigger than we believed was possible, and to give back to our beautiful homeland. Now we go beyond just sports: health, education, music, sports, and much, much more.

Our mission

To provide underserved communities in Nepal with resources, opportunities, and support.

Community-led

Our community leads, works, and grows to complete our mission.

Lasting impact

Everything we do is to make an impact — beyond what is seen.

Transparency

We aim to be transparent and honest with everything we do.

Devotion

Devotion, loyalty, and passion. We are passionate about what we do.

06Our impact · 2025

Four teenagers, three weeks, one school

At the start we had a different approach. We were called BeyondSportsNepal, and we were much, much smaller: four people. Four 15-year-olds with no experience, no funding, and no roadmap for how to make a difference in Nepal.

We had to figure out everything from scratch — collecting donations, building partnerships, earning the trust of people who doubted a few teenagers could make an impact. Each setback taught us what to fix.

Those lessons led to a significant impact in the span of three weeks: we raised over $1,000 for the NewTulipsSchool, a nonprofit school in Koteshwor, Nepal, and delivered books, school supplies, and sports equipment to its students.
